I gave up on this half baked app and will never install it again. The worst cloud storage app I've ever used. Always buggy! My biggest pet peeve: files NOT opening in the app and NOT downloading either! As soon as I switch to the web app, files open and download without issues. This issue happens periodically! Another huge pet peeve: users don't have the option to use a unique PIN to lock the app. Instead, they need to rely on the Android system PIN which is a terrible idea, security wise.

The mobile application works well and I genuinely love it. The only thing that's keeping me from 5 stars is that I can't make simple notes. The new ProronDoc is quite nice but it's a little heavy. I would LOVE to make and edit .txt or .md files through the UI. My workflow of downloading one of my note markdown files, opening it in a text editor, make changes, and reuploading it is a little tedious. I would also update to 5* if an integrated but separate Proton note taking app came out.

The only thing this service is good for is backing up files. Forget about trying to actually browse them because even if you download the files to your local system (which you have to do one at a time), you can't download a folder. The damn thing doesn't show you a thumbnail meaning if you have a hundred images in a folder, you can't see a thing. This is why I use a third party for image backup and viewing as PD is garbage
