To get started

If you have a UBA account, select Sign-up and register as a new user by choosing from any of the options below:
1. UBA Debit/Prepaid Card
2. UBA Secure Pass
3. USSD PIN
4. Activation Code Only (limited access)
5. In-branch activation

If you do not have a UBA account
1. Click the menu on the top-left corner of your app
2. Select "Open an Account"
3. Choose your preferred account type
4. Fill in your details and your account number will be sent to you via SMS
5. Conclude your signup process
6. Start Banking

I rarely write reviews on apps, but this one is an exception. This version of the UBA app has been crashing for almost 3 weeks now on my phone. When you open the app, it crashes saying an error occurred. You have to Uninstall it then install it again, before logging in. An even when you log in, after few minutes it crashes saying your device has been deactivated. You would need to login back with your information. It does this repeatedly.

For the past four days, I haven’t been able to open my bank app—it just keeps loading without going through. I’ve also noticed that it requires a very strong internet connection before it can open. With other banking apps, even with low data, I can simply turn on airplane mode and then switch it off, and the app will open so I can buy data or carry out basic transactions.

regularly logs you out and requires you to reregister almost every time u make about 5 minutes outside the app. does not show past card transactions so impossible to use to get a card statement which is sometimes a much needed document. The saddest and most shameful thing is that for a bank as large as uba, one would expect them to develop something impressive and properly functional but by every indication, their developers are either highly under funded or inexperienced!
