The update used to look like the pictures advertised. Now it forces itself to use chrome as a web browser and it's the same exact feeling as going through a web browser. Due to this, keyboard is 10000x worse, screens are worse, it is slower. It also added extra steps to get to the remote desktop, you used to open the app, click the desktop and you got there. Now it takes longer to load, and added multiple more steps to get to your pc. It's horrible

New version is awful, electing to use some sort of internal keyboard mechanism versus being able to use a phone's gboard. While this interface looks great on a tablet, it does not work on a phone and one size does not fit all for remote access. This version took a step backwards and the previous version no longer functions correctly.

As of May 2024, I saw a note about some new authentication method being rolled out. Since then, trying to access my PC when there's a full screen program running has been horrible. It maintains a connection for 5-10 seconds or until I click on something, then hangs on reconnect attempts. I frequently get failure due to too many failed authentication attempts. It also sometimes reports that the remote PC is not online or that Chrome is restarting on it, neither of which seems to be true.
