App used to have a keyboard for command entry. It no longer does. I'm hearing impaired, so voice commands are problematic. I really would appreciate having the ability to type commands again. Also, because only voice commands, and my hearing issues, it rarely understands what I'm saying. *a year later and this is still an issue. seriously, a keyboard option for us with hearing issues. come on. 7-25-25

new releases seem to vary from significant improvement to extreme clunkiness like a pre-release version. Like most of Google apps these days, there is very little consistency in UX. the button that was at the top will be at the bottom next month, and vice versa in 6 months. But you're stuck with this if you've bought any of the Google home devices. also - importing old cams from the nest app will result in them becoming less reliable. yay.

Like most reviews are saying, my Google Home used to be able to easily handle the things I used it for, mostly for casting to my TV and light control. Now, I'm lucky if the device even does a single thing. Casting will constantly mess up, the speaker will not hear me, sometimes it will also not lower the tv volume, and I find I have to repeat myself multiple times for it to do a single thing. Also, a long time ago you broke your YouTube controls and never fixed them, such as rewinding.
