The Google Gallery app is user-friendly and well-organized. It offers smart albums, effective search functionality, and seamless integration with Google Photos. The editing tools are simple but useful. However, it can be slow with large libraries and occasionally glitches with video edits. Overall, a solid choice for managing photos and videos.

not good for a 7.6" screen: in the folder view, a very few folders occupy the entire screen... This big screen would have more than enough space to provide a nice listing of all my image folders. But Google wastes the space into showing each folder by an oversized representative image. And the tools to edit images are close to zero: no pen feature, no eraser, ... almost nothing. why Google has many good apps, this is a poor one.

There is a feature this app sorely needs: the ability to *exclude* folders. For example, I have 200 music albums on my SD card, each in its own folder, and each music folder has at least one cover art image. They're music folders, not picture folders; therefore they clutter up the app, which makes it very hard to find my actual picture folders. The option to tell the app not to bother with them would declutter with a few simple steps, and I surely can't be the only one who has this issue.
