Great app to search and offer rides. Best way to travel economically and connect to people. What's annoying though is that if you create a search alert and you're looking for a ride at 8 Am, you will still get emails for rides happening the whole day. You get spammed for nothing, as in the end, you need to travel at 8 Am... Apart from that, great!

Blablacar users can speak any language, but there is no language option, so you won't know which ones until the driver you booked with starts responding, which sometimes happen after you already reserved a seat not to miss the opportunity and paid blablacar a hefty fee, and at other times it simply never happens because drivers ignore your reservation completely until it's either too late or it's expired. It's common to have severe language barriers in Europe, the experience is very stressful and you can miss your ride or be unable to communicate your needs. When you make a reservation the driver has up to 12 hours to approve it, but you can't reserve any alternative while you wait, and drivers often do not respond at all, while precious hours pass. In the end you repeat the process with someone else, which ends up stressing you, taking sometimes days, and OFTEN failing completely, forcing you to pick a different travel option when you finally run out of time. A ludicrous service level especially considering the fees they take.

Most horrible, wouldn't advise my enemy to use the app. I made a reservation through the app, paid through the app. I was not contacted or notified by the driver about the trip. I waited in the cold for more than 2 hours waiting on the driver. His phone switched off and all other avenue to contact him was zero. I missed my flight and lose more than €300 just because I used the foolish app.
