Fix the app for Android!! When I first got this app (many years ago), it was great and functioned perfectly. Sadly, somewhere around 2018, Amazon broke it so that it no longer syncs with other devices. The Apple version works perfectly, and will even sync to my phone...but data from my phone is NEVER sent to my iPad--even though the app lies and says it is sending data.

This app is mostly pretty good but it has some problems. If you leave the app open too long in the background, then the progress bar disappears and you have to restart the app. Also, translations are a real mixed bag. Many languages can't have one way dictionaries to English, like Italian or Norwegian. Also, the translate that uses bing often chooses the wrong language or doesn't translate at all.

The minimum brightness is way too bright. It seems like it just completely ignores the phone's brightness setting and uses its own instead. But it's minimum is significantly higher than the actual minimum then phone is capable of. Not sure why they'd intentionally ignore user preferences. It also has way too mamy distracting features that I have to dig through menus to find out how to turn off, like popular highlights. I just want to read the book without distraction and without hurting my eyes.
