About this app

Classroom makes it easy for learners and instructors to connect – inside and outside of schools. Classroom saves time and paper and makes it easy to create classes, distribute assignments, communicate and stay organised.

There are many benefits to using Classroom:
• Easy to set up – teachers can add students directly or share a code with their class to join. It takes just minutes to set up.
• Saves time – the simple, paperless assignment workflow allows teachers to create, review and mark assignments quickly, all in one place.
• Improves organisation – students can see all of their assignments on an assignments page, and all class materials (e.g. documents, photos and videos) are automatically filed into folders in Google Drive.
• Enhances communication – Classroom allows teachers to send announcements and start class discussions instantly. Students can share resources with each other or provide answers to questions on the stream.
• Secure – like the rest of Google Workspace for Education services, Classroom contains no ads and never uses your content or student data for advertising purposes.


Permissions notice:
Camera: Needed to allow the user to take photos or videos and post them to Classroom.
Storage: Needed to allow the user to attach photos, videos and local files to Classroom. It's also needed to enable offline support.
Accounts: Needed to allow the user to choose which account to use in Classroom.

Ratings and reviews

Since last update, I can't edit/correct some of my students assignments. It doesn't matter the format. When I click on save, it says "something went wrong. Please try again later". And I've been trying for weeks now. I even tried the beta, but nothing has worked. I also tried restarting the device, uninstalling the app, clearing cache, etc. It just won't let me. I even sent lots of feedbacks with screenshots, but it's a waste of time.

Not bad, but featureless. No read all button in notifications menu. Classmates can be tapped, but they don't open a profile or anything similar. No dark theme. The "Calendar" button literally just opens the calendar app, and not even logs me into it with my school account. Is it really that hard to do something like the web app? The only reason I downloaded the app is because I wanted desktop notifications, that's all. It has improved a bit since last time, but not enough. Pretty unsatisfied.

I've not been able to login to my school account suddenly since yesterday. Everyone in my class can login, except me. I tried logging in the browser version of Google Classroom, and it worked. This means it perhaps caused by the app. As a side note, I uninstalled and reinstalled it and tried logging in, but it didn't work(I use Pixel 7a). So... please fix it ASAP!
