BimmerCode allows you to code the control units in your BMW or MINI to unlock hidden features and customize your car to your liking.

Activate the digital speed display in the instrument cluster or allow your passengers to watch videos while driving in the iDrive system. Do you want to disable the Auto Start/Stop function or the Active Sound Design? You will be able to code this and much more by yourself with the BimmerCode app.

Ratings and reviews

price was insane, but I think it'll give some cool stuff. I have yet to actually do anything with it beyond explore the options, I was focused on transferring to new phone and copying backup files, which turned out to be pretty easy with Android Beam/QuickShare! I can update this in the future once I actually do more with it.

Connectivity issues. Not all functions advertised actually show up when connected. Functions appear randomly. Just had to keep connecting repeatedly to hope for the function I needed to show up. This isn't how an app is supposed to work. Tried getting a refund. But declined as I had played around with the app. Even though the app is malfunctioning, they're refusing a refund. I tried a free app that came with the adapter I used, and it had more functionality and better connectivity.

Beware!!!! If your vehicle is equipped with HU_MGU2 do not buy this software. At the time of this review, there is no information on their website alerting to this. BMW has implemented new safety measures that prevent third-party coding for some control units on this model, and it is unlikely that support will become available in the future. You will be able to change seatbelt warning and very few other things. No headunit, missing options in BCU, and missing almost every other module. NO REFUND
