The Land Rover Remote App keeps you in touch with your Land Rover when you're not in your vehicle, delivering greater control than ever before over security and comfort settings.

The App's enhanced features, improved functionality and intuitive interface affords peace of mind, more efficient journey planning and greater well-being for you and your passengers.

Use the App to remotely:
- Prepare for a trip by checking fuel range and dashboard alerts
- Locate your vehicle on a map and get walking directions to it
- Check if doors or windows are open
- View journey information
- In the event of a breakdown, request Optimized Land Rover Assistance
- Plan future journeys and sync with your vehicle*
- Connect your favorite music and lifestyle applications to your InControl account for use in vehicle.*

For vehicles with InControl Remote Premium, the following additional features are available:
- Check on your vehicle security status and lock/unlock your vehicle if required
- Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey*
- Locate your vehicle in a crowded car park with 'beep and flash' functionality.

Download the Land Rover InControl Remote App and then log in using your Land Rover InControl username and password to connect to your vehicle. This App requires subscription to one of the following packages fitted to the vehicle:
- InControl Protect
- InControl Remote
- InControl Remote Premium.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Ratings and reviews

2025 Defender: In general works OK, but could do with some polishing. No connectivity issues (in Japan). Can't seem to change the app units from miles to km (car is in km). Can't quite trust the lock status when opening, as often reports unlocked until a force refresh. (even though it was force refreshed an hour earlier to show alarmed status). And we should really be able to see the live dashcam here. (The other app requires connecting directly to the dashcam WiFi). Remote functions work fine.

Not working Normally this is excellent, but since the last update it doesn't show charge correctly. I have just charged car fully according to the car itself. The app says that it still has 4h 21 minutes to go! I have restarted the app several times, checked version number and rebooted the phone. No change. Normally I would rate this as 4* - 5* (let down by issues with connectivity) but this update seems to have spoilt it.

I got a new car and was very excited to try all the features available to me. I haven't been able to even open the app as every time I tey to log in it.comes with the message "Generic Error! Unfortunately due to an error, you have not been able to sign In" I am really frustrated right now as Ican log in online, but not able to do all I want online....
