VpnService Utilization: If you enable VPN by Guardian, the eero app will utilize Android's VpnService to set up a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection to help keep your device private and secure.

Ratings and reviews

Once set up they're a breeze to install. However it took 3 hours to get there. After speaking with support I read the app reviews. If you have reduce animations enabled on your Samsung devices you cannot set up the router. Disable it and it will work. Go figure I'm as stumped as you reading this. Nothing on the support site from what I can see and the issue has been around since April based on the reviews. Simply it should be fixed and a detection built into the app if animations are needed.

The new redesigned app does not seem to do a speed test everyday or it does not show it .you can only see speed test by week end not broken by day as it used to show previously which I really liked. Secondly in the previous app you could see which device is currently using data and which is not. In this new design you have to check individual devices again not very user friendly.

The app itself is pretty good and has a fairly nice interface. Features are better than my old BT hub, and the statistics are nice. There are some problems though: couldn't get manual IP settings to work so had to update my devices to use the 192.168.4.0 range instead. Start of the week is Sunday (American standard) with no way to change it. And of course, I have to use an app? Wish there was a desktop interface to configure everything I have rather than having to poke it in with thumbs!
