I've had this about a year. The description reads: "Automatically back up the important things on your phone, like photos, contacts and messages... notice it says "like." Now I personally regard my calendar as an important thing. I accidentally deleted my calendar on another device. had a rude awakening that the backup DID NOT include calendar nor does it have the capacity to include the calendar. in fact you need a non Google app in order to be able to import and export a calendar back up.

It's a disappointing experience and I'm not sure what I'm really getting for the additional money. I was on a £4 plan, now up to £18.99. Yes, I get more storage space and supposedly more and capable Gemini, but I believed that I was going to get a free trial before committing, however I was charged straight away, and there doesn't seem to be any way of clarifying this point.

I signed up for a very low cost trial of enhanced Gemini. But to cancel this before the higher price kicked in, I had to cancel everything (inclucing the things in Google One I wanted, like photo storage). As it is all bundled together and went round in circles trying to cancel only the AI part. Abysmal user experience... Has put me off for good.
