Certainly not the equivalent of Microsoft's Excel powerhouse, but it also doesn't pretend to be. Sheets is the more accessible, easier to use counterpart of the former. With that said, it's also vastly more convenient for teams working on the cloud that need access to non-localized documents for which sharability is a priority. Taken together with the fact that Sheets is rapidly integrating updates and feature extensions, I have to believe that it more than adequately meets the needs of just about anyone, with the possible exception of bankers.

And YET ANOTHER SO-CALLED "update" of a freakin' Google (down your chin) app! Since I've had this Android tablet, about three and a half months or so now, the various pre-installed Google apps have updated themselves *WELL* *OVER* a *HUNDRED* times. NO, I'm NOT exaggerating... seems that there are updates for buggy-assed Google apps EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN' DAY! Moron Quote of the Day: "Frequent incremental updates increase engagement and improve user experience rather than infrequent and significant changes." TOTAL BULLCRAP! What if an update has bugs and breaks things??? You can't even roll back to a STABLE and USABLE version. The FACT of the matter is that frequent updates and patches ALWAYS mean SLOPPY PROGRAMMING on SOME level. A well coded program will NEVER REQUIRE an update... only new version releases with newer features! ...and a BIG P.S. Your BEST FRIEND for finding older releases of freakin' MORONIC Google (down your chin) apps when the MORONS at Google have decided to roll out a new SO-CALLED "update" for their apps that TOTALLY BREAKS them (when they were NOT freakin' broken to begin with!), or when Google (in their "infinite wisdom") actually REMOVES FEATURES from the app: APKMirror (yeah, GOOGLE it!). And P.P.S. I will CONTINUE to copy 'n' paste this FACTUAL review with EACH AND EVERY freakin' Google (down your chin) BRAINLESS SO-CALLED "update" for ALL of their apps. IDIOTS!

Significant improvements noted. Search works finally! Still a little sluggish and if a signal is weak but you have access. Proprietary format makes collaboration difficult.

Your files are captive in Drive, although you can work offline and synchronize across devices. The opening screen is clunky, but overall the app works very well. You just can't have local files.

Never had one issue with this app. Doesn't crash and is very stable. I normally use MS Excel but had occasional sync issues with Onedrive. Sheets @ Google Drive. no problems whatsoever.

Something is very wrong with the latest version. My drop down lists are now inoperable! Please fix it, thanks! Otherwise I find it easy to use.

Don't need it, don't want it, yet unable to get rid of it. And every time it's updating it takes 15 minutes. For one up to update. 15!!! And during this time, phone is unusable. No other app creates this kind of problem, but Google sheets and slides. Very frustrating. To say the least.

While this is no replacement for Microsoft Excel, this app does a good job at working with Google Sheet files; I still prefer Microsoft Excel over this app, however.

Quite impressed I thought, "How good can a phone based spreadsheet program be?" Well, actually, pretty darn good! I'm not managing a nuclear submarine fleet with it, but it's very capable. Some work went into this one!

This is great if you have knowledge of spreadsheets. A tutorial or wizard would be helpful and propel this app to five stars. That said, I use it for budgets and it is great.

Plus ca change.....Online or offline? Something Google have managed to complicate....And, for a moment I feared that no updates with bug fixes and performance improvements would come for a whole week......that would have indicated Google were testing, - and we can't have that......

Best app for editing on the go (mobile) and cloud storage. I can start a sheet before I leave for work on my laptop at home, add something with my phone on the way to work, then finish it in the office when I arrive. Simple and convenient.

Works great Works great since they improved the detection for cell data availability. Now it doesn't hang when it thinks I have LTE but cell data is actually disabled. Offline mode works really well.
