It works just fine, but I give it 3 stars because it lacks a lot of the capabilities of the desktop browser version. Edit: For example, if I'm writing an xlookup, on desktop, it will auto-suggest a table name and table column names (ie, Table1[Income])as I start typing it, and I can just select the one I want from the list of suggestions. On the mobile version, I have to just type out the full table name and column name. It would be very helpful to have those suggestions on mobile, too.

Love Sheets on desktop—prefer it to Excel. But the app is lacking. You can't bulk add rows, you can't choose multiple drop-down chip options even when that's set up, and trying to nav frozen columns is a pain. I have to remember to finish workflows later on desktop. I can see from forums that the drop-down issue has been around for years, which makes me think Google isn't attentive enough to this app. Overall, the app is underdeveloped and has needless pain points.

I create very "engineered" sheets, and mobile only has 2 real shortcomings. Dark mode inverts the cell colors, which sucks for a carefully designed sheet, and you can't launch button scripts. You can work around this one, but buttons are much easier. I've spent a truly staggering amount of time making sheets, both on PC as well as mobile. The functionality gap between them makes sense, but I wish I could run them exactly as desktop can still, without spending more time coding for mobile use.
