Been using the app for two years now, and for the most part, I really love it. I feel like it paid for itself after a few sessions when I stop and think about the time and effort it would take me to track and calculate all my numbers. Best of all, the app propels my progression forward, and helps me program more load and volume into my work outs than I probably would on my own. That said, I've always experienced a lot of bug issues with this app. If my screen is locked, my rest timer will not go off, and sometimes when I switch between apps, 531 shuts off completely, and I have to re-enter progress. It's really frustrating and breaks the flow of my workouts if I have to pause and re-enter my lifts. Overall, I think this app is amazing. I'm just crossing my fingers that some of those bugs get fixed

Very user friendly. Something I really appreciate is that you're not forced to do one exercise at a time, you can superset/go in any order and just mark when each set is complete, and it's easy to customize workouts, and new exercises that aren't already included as options, etc. So this app could be useful even if you're not using the 5-3-1 program. Also love the graphs it produces to show your progress.

Really made it easy to follow 5/3/1, even with tweaks or adjustments. Lots of customization that doesn't ruin everything. At first I didn't see how to add a custom exercise (farmer's carry), but figured out you just push the plus button and it gives you options to make your own. So happy to have an easy system to follow with graphs/charts and no frills.
