Note: FamilyMode uses Google Accessibility Services API to enable parents to set up parental controls on their children’s phones to protect them from unwanted or dangerous content. No information is processed or collected using this API except for the purpose of blocking the content defined by the user.

Awful app, it just turns off the internet, and if the person makes it so that it says "time for bed!" the child can open the phone and head to the home screen, and if they do this repeatedly, the clear cache option pops up, and if they do clear it, they can turn off the accecablility settings for the app, which permanently disables the app

Applying filters to children's phones results in the slowest Internet connection. Half the time, it's almost like it's on 3g. Getting to the point where it may not be worth paying for. There are other filtering software that probably is worth the price by not slowing things down to a crawl. Clearly they need to apply more bandwidth and processing power to their filtering VPN.

Horrible app doesn't help at all and even if you dont use an app at all it'll somehow wastes your screen time. Also even listening to music wastes screen time. And the time on the app and how much you actually used it is completely off. Finally, even if you still have screen time the internet is still extremely slow and says no internet connection is avaliable even if you have full bars. This app sucks. Do NOT recommend at all.

What's new

Children can no longer disable the permission which prevents the app VPN from being removed.

Child profiles can be locked during Bedtime and Off Time (except for phone calls). Easily unlock the device by entering a passcode.
