About this app

For your devices and items
• View your phone, tablet, headphones, and other accessories on a map–even if they’re offline.
• Play a sound to locate your lost device if it’s nearby.
• If you’ve lost a device, you can remotely secure or erase it. You can also add a custom message to display on the lock screen in case someone finds your device.
• Find your devices and items on Mobile and supported Wear OS devices.
• All location data in the Find Hub network is encrypted. This location data is not visible even to Google.

For location sharing
• Share your live location to coordinate a meetup with a friend or check on family to make sure they got home safe.

Ratings and reviews

Recently had to use this to find a friend's mobile phone and it worked really well. It successfully located it in one of several places it could have potentially been lost that day, so saved a lot of time & travel. One minor point - why have all the signed-in devices showing as rather hard to read icons at the top of the screen, can we not have it in a drop-down list? UPDATE (06/2025): this has had a major makeover and looks very different now, so will have to check it out and update my review!

The app refuses to work. When selecting a device to locate, it constantly displays an map pin icon with a strike through it, which I'm assuming means it either can't locate my device or device location isn't working. The only time it seems to show my device on the map is when it is actually connected to my phone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems to defeat the whole purpose of finding your device if it only works when connected. Very disappointed in the quality of this app.

This app doesn't update the locations when you click the refresh. It will have devices (pixel earbuds, tracking tags) on and right beside my phone while the app is open and still won't update their locations. The locations can be days or even weeks without an update. I even updated my ear buds location on the Google find hub website which worked instantly, and this app still hasn't updated their location since 6/21, two days ago.
