Here’s how the Austrian App makes your journey easier:

🛫 Before departure
• Book your flight, reserve your seat and add your baggage: Search for your desired flight, book it, and rent a car that will be waiting for you at your destination. You can also add any additional pieces of luggage directly in the app and reserve or change your seat.

• Online check-in: With the Austrian app, you can check in online for all Lufthansa Group Network Airlines flights. Your digital flight ticket will then appear directly on your smartphone. When boarding, simply open the app to show your mobile boarding pass.

• Travel ID and Austrian Miles and More: You can now save several payment methods directly to your Travel ID account thanks to the new digital wallet. This means you can pay with ease anytime and anywhere. Enter your personal details and select your personalized services to make the Austrian app even easier to use. To do this, use your Travel ID or your Austrian Miles & More login.

• Real-time information and flight status: Starting 47 hours before your departure, your personal travel assistant will provide you with all important updates and information about your flight. Push notifications about check-in, flight status and gate changes make sure you are always up to date. With messages that pop up on your home screen, you always have an overview of your trip and can relax and enjoy your journey.

• Flight ticket and on-board services: With the Austrian app, you always have your mobile boarding pass and all on-board services with you – even when you are offline. That way you can keep track of all important flight information and changes at all times.

Ratings and reviews

Too many bugs! For example, after a few minutes, even if the app is running (showing my boarding pass), app exits my profile and I have to enter my entire email address and my (too long and complicated, because it does not allow for a short and simple password) password again. Also, really annoying, it does not remember my passport data, although I always check the "save my passport" AND I got it manually saved in my profile!!

Making a booking, aelwcting destinations could be improved. I would like to see the dates available for the selected destination - highlughted, not shoot randomly on the calendar. Also, if I want to see all the cities to where they fly directly, I can't. I have to type in a name of a city and then wait to see.

The boarding gate number is not updated. I waited outside the boarding gate listed on the application. There was a message in the application that the flight time had been changed, and everything else remained the same (terminal and gate). The next thing I saw was that the plane was flying. There should be a clear message that this application is only for non-compulsory flight information and that you cannot rely on it!!
