LICENSED AND TRAINED THERAPISTS
BetterHelp therapists are licensed professionals with at least 3 years and 1,000 hours of hands-on experience. Our network includes psychologists, marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, and other similarly credentialed providers.

All of our therapists hold a Master’s Degree or a Doctoral Degree in their respective fields and have been qualified and certified by their state professional board, having completed the necessary education, exams, training, and practice.

Not using insurance? Individual self-pay plans typically range from $70 to $100 per week, billed every 4 weeks, and may vary based on location, preferences, and therapist availability. Your membership includes messaging and weekly live sessions and you can cancel at any time for any reason.

very bad app. video and sounds often times not working, the journal cannot be exported and sometimes it shows gibberish after saving. when you are unable to have a therapy session in a certain week you still pay the full amount and you are unable to do it maybe in the next week, you pay, whilst the therapist does not receive that money. greedy and expensive. they only focus on marketing and maximizing profit for people that actually need help, instead of having a good service.

If you really need professional help avoid this app the therapists are not professional enough to actually work appropriately with people who really need help! It rekindled my trauma. If you just need life coaching or someone to talk to you will be fine. You only get 30 min. Per week, which is no way near enough time to actually work through things. They don't tell you this when you sign up. I am from Europe and prices are the same as "normal therapy " here, so no advantage there.

This app worked great for the first day I had it. Now all I get is a notification that says "could not connect to server, please check connection" whenever I open it. inconveniently this started happening RIGHT before my scheduled appointment I already paid for. It's not my phone, every other app works fine. I've tried without wifi, disabling ad blocks, reinstalling it etc and nothing has worked. It's extremely frustrating and disappointing considering I just spent nearly $300 to use this app.
