About this app

For your devices and items
• View your phone, tablet, headphones, and other accessories on a map–even if they’re offline.
• Play a sound to locate your lost device if it’s nearby.
• If you’ve lost a device, you can remotely secure or erase it. You can also add a custom message to display on the lock screen in case someone finds your device.
• Find your devices and items on Mobile and supported Wear OS devices.
• All location data in the Find Hub network is encrypted. This location data is not visible even to Google.

For location sharing
• Share your live location to coordinate a meetup with a friend or check on family to make sure they got home safe.

I like this app and it will be a better app if it will show both the current device and the other one being found, like dots on the map. It'll be better to find the lost device, to know the distance variance. And the other device shouldn't be able to stop the phone from ringing. (especially when signing in as a guest). Developer, you're doing great, but these I think ought to be in the app. 😎

It's a good app, but you have to improve the app security check. For instance, if one needs to turn off Google Find My Device, there should be a security check like password or fingerprint, because if your phone is stolen and the app is turned off, it will be difficult to get the current location of your phone. Just include security check when deactivating the app and it will be more secured and useful

This app is just a SHAME coming from Google. Lost my phone. It could contact the phone but last updated location was 4 days old (in another town), even though GPS had been turned on more recently (actually used it with MAPS while travelling to the current location). Google says it might read location (read TOS/notes in location settings: can turn on wifi, etc. even when turned off by user and without indicating the status in notification bar.) There are too many things that this app should be able to do to actually be useful. It functions like an intern project from Summer of Code! If you can get my location when turned off, use it to help me Find My Phone! When trying to use my nearest friend's device to track my phone, why ask me to click "55" on the device I'm trying to track so I can login on the tracking device? I wouldn't be trying to find it if I had it! By the time I could go pick my Trusted Device (Laptop) and get back to the are where my phone was lost, it was gone. Still on, but not close enough to hear it ring, and showing 4 day old location history. This app should just not give you a false sense of security.
