About this app

For your devices and items
• View your phone, tablet, headphones, and other accessories on a map–even if they’re offline.
• Play a sound to locate your lost device if it’s nearby.
• If you’ve lost a device, you can remotely secure or erase it. You can also add a custom message to display on the lock screen in case someone finds your device.
• Find your devices and items on Mobile and supported Wear OS devices.
• All location data in the Find Hub network is encrypted. This location data is not visible even to Google.

For location sharing
• Share your live location to coordinate a meetup with a friend or check on family to make sure they got home safe.

Great little app I use to track my elderly parents. Free, simple, no bloat, no ads. Best simple location tracker available. You could just use Maps and share location, but having it in an app with no other functionality makes it nice and easy for my parents to use as well. Would like to see auto zooming to fit everyone on the screen at once. Then use the focus button to zoom in on your own position.

The map view shows the location of the device you're trying to find, but doesn't show a pin for your current location. If you're searching for a phone in a field or a ski slope, this is useless. Had to keep switching between this app and Google maps to work out where to search. Terrible for an app designed to find things. Also, it should be able to turn on Bluetooth on the lost device, and then use Bluetooth to get a "warmer... colder" range, not just listen for a ring. Disappointed.

Seems great in principle but if it can't reliably contact the device it's not much help. As I write this the phone is in the next room on the window sill in view of the sky, GPS on, location found on Google maps, wifi and mobile data connected, yet the app says cannot locate the phone. The ring feature does seem to work however. I've not tried the lock or erase functions! We'll see how useful it turns out to be. But for a free app it's a jolly good idea to have it installed just in case.
