The first transfer I made was virtually instantaneous and was a teeny bit better total charge than another app I had. The second took 5 days! Their tech support wouldn't admit it but when I sampled a few transactions it seems that at $2,000 US it changes to the longer method, I'm assuming for security reasons. But why not simply tell me so I can plan around that? Bunch of mumbo jumbo as to other things that can influence the time.

Hey Brad. We appreciate your feedback. Fast transfers are what we aim for. But delays may happen if the transfer was set up close to the weekend/holidays, or if we need to carry out extra checks. Wise has been the easiest, fastest way to spend money abroad, with the ACTUAL exchange rates instead of getting jacked on rates. I just received the card for travel, and I look forward to putting it to good use. What I hate, though, is that you initiate an exchange to put money in your account via ACH, and it leaves one account and doesn't show up in the other account for a week sometimes! That is shady. It shows up eventually, but money should not ever disappear like that.

Signing in requires approving the login from my cell phone, entering my password twice then verifying with an email link. I am then forced to enter my password 5 more times to send funds to 4 people. Each transfer asks the same questions over and over again (who are you sending too, why, how much, etc..) only to require re-entering my password on every transfer even after I have just logged in using 2 approval methods. The app security is so annoying that I am looking for an alternative.
