More needs to be done. It would be nice if it was designed along the lines of Aldiko. With shelves, nice background. I dislike it when I go through the books and find one that I like and open it. When I close the book the app goes back up to the top instead of carrying on from where I was browsing. It's not bad but the developers can do better.
That is what technology is for; improving ourselves. Amazon Kindle certainly fits that purpose perfectly. One of the very features I like is Word Wise, extremely useful. Keep up the great work. By reading new books, we are able to see the world in a different way and see things we weren't able before. By getting such content, we can spread it and contribute to a better world Change your mind, change the world.
Good app but keeps opening itself up to tell me I don't have WiFi, even when I do. Turned off sync and all notifications and it still sees fit to pop up whenever it feels like, crash the app I'm using at the time and generally piss me off.
Love kindle but the Android app is unstable. After litterly years of development, the app still can't run a week without freezes, crashes, getting stuck in loops, you name it. I think they are letting these problem happen, to drive people to their kindle hardware platform, no other reason they can't write a stable app.
Worthless if you read in landscape mode. Half the page is cut off and it WON'T SCROLL. Who got paid to develop this software? Next time hire an adult. Some kickstands on tablets only work in landscape and some people listen to music while reading (the speakers sound best in landscape in stereo). These shortcomings are so obvious, it is as if nobody designing this actually USES it.
On Kindle Your products are fine, but your coding / programming / software has problems. Your unwanted dictionary locked up my S7 tablet-- had to force a shut down. Now your highlighting doesn't work. How about a response as to your profile pi..poor programming. No more Kindle until you respond an fix it.
7.8: Several experience improvements and bug fixes.
Tip: If you happen to encounter a blank screen during login or while loading the Kindle Store, please be sure to update the 'Android System WebView' app from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview . Alternatively, search for “Android System WebView” on the Google Play App Store and update that app
