Seems fine. Has a graph and the actual number. Not sure how frequently it samples, seems 2 or 3 times a second. Nice description of the different sound levels. 60 decimal shows as normal conversation. I'm using it to check alarm clock volumes so far they're all 60-decibel; seems pretty low. Already returned two clocks as too quiet to disturb my slumber. Hope this one works better.

Impressive, better than the first one I loaded. That one got deleted fast. This one though.... smartly written. Wise set up. No sense in driving away users, especially the ones that appreciate your app. I like this sound meter, it answer my questions, like is this blower running in quiet or just noisy. My work place background noise, are they noise pollution? Keep wearing earplugs, ok leave off plugs? Good apps are useful. The ads are cleverly placed. Where are the Amazon and eBay ads??!!

Exactly what I needed. For some online classes, I needed to check my background noise level. The sound level descriptions were much more meaningful for me than just numbers. The live graph was also helpful, to get a sense of how common noises might affect the audio too. I wanted to make sure I was respectful of others in the class, and now I have better confidence in that.
