With the new mobile application for your Direct Express® Debit MasterCard® card, you can manage your money conveniently and securely from your mobile device. The mobile application is free to download for the cardholders whose card number starts with 533248. You need to register again with your card details prior to logging in the first time.

Please Note: If your card begins with 511563 DO NOT download this app. Please look for the yellow Direct Express® logo with a description stating that the app is for cards which start with the numbers 511563.

When you sign up to receive your federal benefits on the Direct Express® card, you will receive your payment every month without having to worry about cashing your check or having it lost or stolen. Instead of receiving a check, your money will be automatically deposited to your Direct Express® card account on payment day. You can use your card to make purchases at stores that accept Debit MasterCard®, withdraw cash from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), and get cash back when you make purchases. You can also use your debit card online to make payments and to also buy money orders at the U.S. Post Office.

I previously had used Direct Express card yellow (#5115) w/o any issues. A year ago, my benefits were loaded to a new D.E. card green (#5332). So far, so good. Choosing Direct Express debit to have my benefit payments loaded to was one of the best decisions I've made. I highly recommend Direct Express to anyone who doesn't have banking access. And is looking for a safe easy way to receive their benefit payments using a debit card instead of receiving a paper check.

eh no much you can do. n the minimum alert for a purchase is $ 250. so someone can steal my card spend it all as long as every purchase is less then $250. also the alert for low account balance max is $50. I could be wrong about the last one. but is ridiculously low. I wanna know when there's a purchase of any kind. A nickel a dime a dollar an RMB a peso. n I wanna know when my account is less then $100. I had some one steal my card info. several cards actually and they also had gotten my phone.

There is something very strange going on with my account. I'm showing two "reversal debits" that list as being from Direct Express on 1/28/2026 and 1/27/2026 that resulted in money being taken from my account. Personally, I take"reversal debit" to mean that money should have been credited to my account not taken out of it. I was on with a supervisor for over 46 minutes trying to figure out how this could be and why they don't see the same charges as I do and got nowhere. It's all very fishy.
