Ratings and reviews

This is my go-to music app. There are times when I can't pay for it and, while I understand the need to make money, the ads were just way too frequent at times, but not bothersome enough to cause me to switch music apps. The generated Playlists based upon my likes are usually pretty good and basically how I discover new music. I like the recaps as well. It would be nice if youtube itself was included in the premium music subscription, as it used to be. I don't know why that ended.

I use this all the time because I hate the shuffle play on all the other music apps. I love this app but, when you first get it, it seems amazing. After a week or two they give you an ad every song, can't turn off your phone, and you can't even use other apps at the same time. Not turning of your phone can drain battery. And you can't message or look at anything else while listening. The ads usually have a skip button if there long. Good app, but a few flaws

The service is fine, especially if you're considering using YouTube Premium anyway. But it currently has a feature that changes your selected music to a "YouTube preferred" version when you add it to playlists. Often, this means edited versions of songs, and you can't opt-out. The app also struggles with changing to offline mode, spending long times trying to load instead of using your downloads, which can be a problem on roadtrips, where manually switching is clunky while behind the wheel.
