The picture in picture mode does not stop my phone from going to sleep/timing out. If I have the app open, you have to select the "full screen" button as well, otherwise your phone will go to sleep/time out. It takes a very long time to reconnect after and sometimes to have to close the app completely and reopen it. These were not issues with the VTech baby pro app so I am disappointed this newer app seems to be functioning worse than the "old" version.

This app is effectively useless. The main problem is the motion detection. Even on the lowest sensitivity settings, you get false positive motion alerts, yet it often fails to detect an adult(!) moving in the room. The second issue is recordings. You can't export them, the app deletes them automatically, and the app often just doesn't record motion, even if it triggered an alert. If my kids got hurt, the alerts wouldn't tell me and the recordings wouldn't even show me what happened.

12/25 UPDATE: Since the so-called app update with "fixes" a few days ago, the app is is no longer recording movement. I get notifications, but there is no more recording. What's more, when it was recording prior to the update, the videos would "fail to load" when I would try to view them. I need a monitor that does what was advertised! PREVIOUS REVIEW (10/25): Having issues with the app either taking forever to load detections...or just not at all...despite having motion recording on.
