About this app

A free interactive metronome app, Speed Trainer, and Drum Machine designed by musicians. With over 10 million downloads Metronome Beats is used worldwide for solo and group music practice, teaching and live concerts. It is also used to keep a steady tempo during running, golf putting practice, dancing, and many other activities.

Designed with ease of use in mind, Metronome Beats has controls for easily increasing and decreasing the tempo in small increments by one touch of the screen. The visual beat indicators help you to keep track of where you are in the bar and enable you to mute the metronome whilst still monitoring the tempo visually. You can also create your own custom sound settings or simply change the pitch to make Metronome Beats easier to hear over your instrument.

Only need a few bars lead in? Use the timer function to stop Metronome Beats when you want. You can also use Metronome Beats at the same time as other apps, allowing you to read sheet music off your Tablet whilst playing the metronome to check your tempo.

On larger devices the Tablet specific layout gives you access to all of the Metronome Beats features on one handy screen.

I like that the metronome can be played at any speed and with different sounds for each beat (or no sound). I am excited to use the polyrhythmic counter. I like using the chromatic feature when I sing to see if I'm on pitch. I can also have it play any note for me in any octave to get me started on the right note.

I'm using this to keep time while I learn to play the ukulele. It's a great app, however I do wish that say it's keeping beat for 4/4 then after every 4 it has a different sound for the beginning of the next little section of music, just so it sounds different. As a beginner that would be really helpful but otherwise I enjoy the app. It's easy to use and has no ads in the middle of trying to keep time.

I like the functions. Some audio glitches make playing with a sound system difficult but I may have fixed through settings. For the temp trainer, the mute function doesn't work great because you can't control it in tandem with tempo increase, so it just mutes at random points in your riff. I want it to increase tempo every 18 bars, and mute 11-14, then jump back, then do the same after the increase.

What's new

This release includes a new Preferences option to change the drums order to match musical notation. We have also done a few bug fixes.
