About this app

The newest member of the FreeStyle Libre family is the most advanced continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology designed to fit into your life:

• Glucose readings are automatically sent to your smartphone every single minute.

• The world’s smallest, thinnest, and most discreet sensor [1].

• Consistent, accurate [1], all the time [2].

• Optional, real-time glucose alarms let you know the minute your glucose is too low or too high.

• Glucose readings are updated 5x faster than other CGMs [3].

• Outperforms other CGMs in connectivity [4].

• Get detailed reports, including your time in range, to better understand your glucose trends and patterns.

• When you connect with family members using the LibreLinkUp app [5], they see your current glucose reading, 12 hour historical glucose graph, set their own alarm notifications and receive alarms in real time [6].

• When you share glucose information with your healthcare team using LibreView [7], they’ll have a complete glucose picture to better inform treatment decisions.

3 stars because it does what it has to, technically. The reader has been anywhere from 30 mg/dL low to 20 high. The app is very good, compared to apps from 10-15 years ago. It consumes too much battery, it gives inaccurate readings, and cannot be set up without alarms (which can take you up at 4am with erroneous readings, making you lose sleep for nothing). All in all, it's not as bad as it could be, especially for a free trial, but I'll go back to finger sticks because it is not worth it.

I like that the reader is much smaller than prior readers but this app is SO SLOW: reading my glucose level, to load the notes page, & slow to close when I push DONE. It crashes often, to. Sometimes it just goes off while I'm sitting right next to my phone saying that it's lost its connection & the only way I've been able to fix it is to restart my phone. Loud & annoying. I hope they're working on this. The Libre 2 & Libre systems were awesome. I don't want to switch companies.

The app is okay. the big issue is that the real time graph can be wrong or at least hard to read because the lack of grid on the graph. at times after a meal, I see the graph peak and the number going up, but later the graph peak looks much lower. You can't see the exact value of the peak. it will help if I can touch anywhere on the graph to see the value at that time. app should track min and max values.
