-- I've never used the app before. How do I start?
Tap the 'Install' button on the screen to download the app. Once downloaded, simply follow the instructions on screen. From there, all you'll need are your Nationwide account details or debit card and card reader and the app will help you finish setting up.

My app isn’t downloading
If your app isn’t downloading or seems to be stuck, to fix it:

1. Go to your phone’s settings and choose Apps > Google Play Store > Force stop
2. Then choose Storage > Clear cache
3. Try the update again.

• Freeze/unfreeze your debit card
• Report lost or stolen cards
• Set up selfie authentication to pay without a card reader
• Change your passnumber
• Setup new bill payments and check existing payments (you may need your card reader for some transactions)
• Setup and track a Savings Goal
• Personalise your settings to update your personal details, get text alerts and go paperless
• Block transactions to gambling merchants

This app used to be great - reliable and straightforward. Now it is very unreliable and harder to use. More than 50% of the time it won't start at all and when it does I have regular problems with credit card items appearing in the wrong "cleared" or "pending" categories - or both - or neither. As for presentation, following what seems to have been a major outcry, the ridiculously huge display now has options to reduce it to merely stupidly huge.

The new interface is terrible. Less information shown when looking at accounts. It downright ugly, more clicks to get information. Still can't pay in cheques via app. Poor option to not use card reader - I don't use photo ID for anything. I don't trust your backend to keep my photo ID safe. Please go back to old interface. I've complained about app and your security in general, but I never thought the update would be so horrendous.

Since the latest update there is an intermittent bug on the Settings page. At times it's impossible to scroll down to the foot of the page to the Log Out option - the page just springs back to the top; other times it works OK. And on the subject of the Log Out, why on earth is it hidden at the foot of the Settings page? It should be much more prominent and easier to find. This is a banking app, so security should be top priority.

Need to dispute a debit card payment? Simply select the transaction and then tap 'Something wrong with this transaction?' to start a chat with us.

This release also has some minor bug fixes and improvements.
