Electric shared cars within walking distance

As members of MyWheels, we are convinced that cars are often very useful, but that driving can be much smarter. That's why we are car sharers. And that really only has advantages: Together we drive the most sustainable electric cars, it is cheaper because we only pay for use and we ensure that the city becomes more liveable. So less stationary gaze. More and more people believe in this form of Good Sharing. And that's delicious! Because the more car sharers join, the more cars we can park, the greater the convenience for everyone. The Netherlands can make do with far fewer (stationary) cars, and we are happy to show how this can be done.

This is how you use MyWheels.
Carsharing is easy. This is how it works:
• Open the app and click on a shared car near you to book your ride.
• Swipe the car open with your MyWheels app and start your journey.
• End of ride? Park and click finish.

This is how you create an account.
Are you using MyWheels for the first time? Creating an account is very simple. Download the app and create an account. Make sure you have your driver's license at hand and you will be on your way within a few minutes.

Grab the car
• Save on your rides with MyWheels Trips. This way you can purchase your kilometers in advance at a cheaper price.
• Take the car throughout the Netherlands, but always return it to the departure zone or permanent parking spot.

Ratings and reviews

While service as such is quite nice, their support is not great. There's no phone number to call (except for ride emergency), only email. I'm not sure who they have replying to those emails, but last year when I reported error with their app where I got overcharged, instead of investigating they kept repeating what the app (erroneously) says. Now they reported I got a parking ticket, but I parked in the designated area. They are likely to collect money before I get reply to my inquiry about it.

I downloaded the app because I needed a car. Upfront I knew that I will not use more than 10 kilometers so I saw an offer to buy 50 kilometers package. I bought it, and because I did not use the other 40 kilometers, I paid now the double amount. The customer service is not friendly and also because of confusion and hidden messages under the i icon cost me a lot of money. Be aware I feel this is a scam compared to other car shared services.

So useful to have a car around the corner. I don't understand all these negative reviews- most of my experiences have been super smooth! And the phone service is very helpful if needed.

- Damage during your ride? That’s not what you’re hoping for ofcourse! We do appreciate it that if this happens, you reported it to us. That's why we make it easier for you to share all the necessary details. No longer via a paper claim form, but simply digitally. You will find the new digital version in the app.

- Want to add a (new) payment method? This can now also be done before you have booked a ride. So you are all set for your first MyWheels ride.
