About this app

The Omnipod® 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System is the only FDA cleared, tubeless automated insulin delivery system that integrates with Dexcom G6 and G7 CGM and automatically adjusts insulin delivery to manage blood glucose with no multiple daily injections and zero fingersticks*.

Simple and automated insulin delivery with the Omnipod 5 System is made possible with the tubeless Omnipod 5 Pod, the integrated Dexcom G6 and G7 continuous glucose monitoring systems and the Omnipod 5 App installed on an Insulet-provided controller or on your personal compatible smart phone**.

The Omnipod 5 App allows you to select a basal profile, target glucose and bolus settings, activate and deactivate the Pod, connect with the Dexcom G6 and G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems, and select an insulin delivery mode.

Intended Use:

The Omnipod 5 App is part of the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System. The Omnipod 5 System is for prescription use only. The Omnipod 5 System is indicated for use by individuals with Type 1 diabetes mellitus in persons 2 years of age and older. The Omnipod 5 System is intended for single patient, home use and requires a prescription. The Omnipod 5 System is compatible with the following U-100 insulins: NovoLog®, Humalog®, and Admelog®.

Great app and system. I am totally pleased with my OP5 system! Is it perfect? No, nothing is, but this is way better than MDI and having just one device for all my diabetes management is awesome! The only other feedback I have would be to allow screenshots of this app. I know you will allow it on iPhone. I need to be able to screenshot and send to my family.

Didn't even get to use the app. Downloaded fine, but when I log in, it just sits loading indefinitely. I un-installed and reinstalled the app to see if that would help, and it doesn't. Just refuses to log in. Bummer, I wanted to be able to use it from my phone instead of the pod controller dummy phone. 9/17/24 - giving it another go and finally got it to work. Got my pump all set up and inserted, so now we will see if it works well for me.

App works on it's own terms, even when you Don't want it to! That is: cannot override alerts, or change them, so it's a bit TOO functional. And Very annoying. Also after a YeAR of using it, I discover an issue that requires uninstall. And find out this will delete my local glucose data, and there's no way to restore what is saved to their cloud. It's "saved alright".. I have to pay each of my doctors just so they can Review it 👀 No Restore possible!! Just deal with it. what the actual fk
