About this app

Oticon Companion provides you with discreet, improved control over your hearing aids – so you can personalize your listening experience for any environment, the ability to find your hearing aids if they become lost, remote support from your hearing care professional when you need it, and much more.

The Oticon Companion App is compatible with all Oticon Bluetooth® hearing aids. However, some app features may require a specific hearing aid model or a firmware update. Please consult your hearing care professional for assistance with firmware updates.

With Oticon Companion, you can:

• Adjust the volume of your hearing aids and various settings (e.g. noise reduction, and sound and streaming equalizer)
• Switch between predefined programs according to the different listening situation you are in
• Monitor your battery levels
• Help you find your hearing aids if you lose them
• Use SpeechBooster to reduce background noise and enhance speech when you need to focus on conversation.
• Customize your surrounding sounds with the sound equalizer*
• Set and track hearing aid wear-time goals with the HearingFitness™ feature*
• Use the streaming equalizer for a personalized listening experience. The streaming equalizer is available for all Oticon Bluetooth® hearing aids except Oticon Opn™ and Oticon Siya
• Have your hearing aids adjusted and receive counseling from the comfort of your own home – via a live video call with your hearing care professional
• Handle wireless accessories paired with your hearing aids; control multiple TV Adapters or devices, such as Oticon EduMic or ConnectClip, which can be used both for streaming and as a remote microphone

I'm not happy with this app! I just got oticon Intent 1 hearing aids. The Bluetooth won't stay connected to my brand new samsung S24+ phone. The right hearing aid disconnects and says the battery level is at 1%, even though they're fully charged. I can't switch from TV adapter back to General hearing without rebooting my phone and hearing aids. This happens several times a day. The Intent 1 hearing aids are my third pair of Oticon hearing aids and my last. It seems Oticon embraces Apple phones

As many others have noted the Bluetooth reliability is frustrating. I don't particularly find this app useful, but I downloaded it to see if it helped, and it doesn't. I have a Pixel 8, and reliably every time the BT connection hands off to something else when it returns to my phone, only one or the other connects. Occasionally, the missing one will pop in minutes later, but not usually. My current work around is toggling BT off/on, then they both immediately work.

Battery level gauge always reads 100% even on the 5th day when it dies it will read 100%. Since I know the battery will last me 5 days I guess I don't need that feature. I did contact support they told me some things to try but they all failed. My pixel 7 pro doesn't recognize the hearing aid (Ponto 5) as a audio device it only recognizes it as a Bluetooth device and won't allow phone connection to make and receive calls or listen to music. My experience with this app I found it to be worthless.
