Ratings and reviews

This app is very bad. I have to constantly reset my app/speaker. It will close when I'm listening to it, stays open all day if I'm not listening to it. As a commercial product I gave money for, I expect a functioning system. I have to open a webradio after Pandora before I stop listening or it will freeze next time I open the app to listen, leading me to reset the app twice or more before pulling the plug on the speaker. Poor.

The sound quality is far superior to Spotify and Pandora, but the music collection needs expansion, especially for classical and non-USA music. I am very much enjoying the improved sound quality on my relatively expensive home speakers. The sound difference is also pronounced on less expensive speakers, such as my Toyota car speakers.

Updating my review because one day the app finally decided it wanted to work again. Cool. I don't know why it wouldn't connect to a marantz receiver before but it decided to work now so that solves my issue. Anyway, with HEOS your mileage may vary. It will only work when it wants to, the app doesn't let you reset anything on your end if your network changes (for example) so you just have to sit there and pray that it syncs automatically. When it works it's decent. But might not always work.
