The Halifax Mobile Banking app can do everything you’d expect, maybe a little extra. And you can use it whenever and wherever you want. So you can crack on if you’re on the bus, at work or simply can’t tear yourself away from the telly.

New to this app? No problem. Just register your device and you’re ready to go. For this you’ll need:
- An up-to-date phone number registered with us
- Halifax UK personal account
- Online Banking username, password and memorable information (you can create these in the app)
- A device that isn’t rooted.

CONTACTING YOU
We won't contact you any more than normal if you use the app. But please stay alert to email, text messages or phone calls that appear to be from us. Criminals may try to trick you into giving them sensitive personal or account information. We'll never contact you to ask for these details. Any emails from us will always greet you personally using your title and surname and either the last 4 digits of your account number or the last part of your postcode '*** 1AB'. Any text messages we send you will come from Halifax .

Ratings and reviews

Used to be great, but now I am unable to see my transactions at all, so no way to actually check who im paying ans what amount or when, the statement download only allowing a statement of my monthly payments. So no way to confirm that the total amount due each month is accurate. Which in my opinion is the most important part of having an app. In order to quickly and easily check on the account.

Does what it should, just one minor issue, when viewing a message and selecting 'READ' option it downloads a PDF file, which means I have to locate the file from downloads each time, maybe that is how it should be, but READ indicates you can do just that per se, and of course leaves a file in downloads which could be a risk with hackers and scammers, but apart from that it is very good and functions well.

Generally the app is pretty good. However, the cheque deposit function is near to unusable. The app now controls photo capture and spends its time telling you to hold the phone flat and level. The only way to get it to take a photo is to hold the phone in a portrait orientation tilted slightly upwards. It then rejects your photo about 5times till you get lucky and one is accepted. The previous cheque deposit worked far better with manual photo capture
