I want to buy a subscription and have this be my daily driver for file storage. But the app on my s25 plus just hangs on the logo and doesn't actually open. The only way to get into my files is to go into the app storage and totally reset it and then relog in again. Once I do that I can see my files. Then on next open it hangs on the logo and doesn't open. please fix

Recently I had a phone die before dumping my photos and videos off of it. I lost a lot of good memories due to my laziness. Filen is solid security wise and has a desktop app that can back up (with multiple backup types) that works wonderfully. Their app is well, much lower caliber. Their photo backup and selection is a bit messy but it gets the job done. I'm sure this will mature nicely just like the desktop app. Right now it just seems... Slow? A bit messy? But well worth the cost. 4/5

Cheap plans, encrypted and open source. The app is slow however. Slow opening of the app, slow loading speeds of files and photos, so it takes a long time locating a specific photo for example. The photos part is also a little too cluttered imo, every photo at once. Would be better if it was organised after months, such as most other photo apps. Filen has great potential, hope to see some improvements soon.
