The app itself seems fine after you get through the initial logins, about three tries. I feel vindicated to read others are having the same experience overall with PenFed. The website is slow...extremely slow. I haven't received a notice from Bill Pay since around 11/2024. No deposit emails with exception of early pay emails. I'm not sure what's going on but I've called customer service a few times to inquire and all I get is that they have to contact the contracted Bill Pay provider. SMH.

The app was great when I first joined several years ago. Now I can sometimes open the app and sometimes not. I have checked for updates, uninstalled, reinstalled and still no better. I can use my laptop to check on finances, but not the app on my phone or tablet. Once my CDs mature I will probably close my accounts there, as I've found Bread Savings (Comenity Bank) to be better as far as being user friendly.

Nightmare. Used to be a fairly decent app but they did a recent update a couple of months ago and it has been nothing but issues ever since. You try to get assistance from the customer service line but they just tell you to use the app. How does that work if the app doesn't freaking work?!?! Beyond frustrating. It stinks because they don't have a physical location anymore so this is your only choice. What's the point of even using the bank/credit union and app if it doesn't function properly.
