An earlier version of the app had a very trouble-prone connection to the service, but after the most recent update to the app, the connectivity is solid. It's awesome being able to monitor the smoker without leaving the comfort of the air conditioning in the middle of a 110 degree day, and get push notifications for temperature threshold events.

The app doesn't fully work. It used to, but not on my new Pixel. I can see push notifications like when the grill has reached its target temperature. I cannot control the grill in any way through the app, it just spins forever. I looked at contacting Masterbuilt as they suggested but they require all your personal information to submit a ticket. I'm not giving them my address and phone number just so they can suggest I reinstall the app.

Trick to connect, short name and password, really? Needs some Alerts built in. The app should let you know if your temperature drops more than 10 degrees below the set temperature. Also, would be great if you could zoom in on areas of the graph. it's gotten worse. I get notifications, but it won't connect to the grill. It took forever when I had to reinstall due to a new phone. Hoping someday they hire a company THAT CAN FIX THE APP.AMD CONNECTIVITY!!! Since they just make good smokers but
