I had this VPN when it first came out. Free. A limited choice on which countries one wanted to use. Now, no real choice. One has a choice of 5 countries, but it costs time to reach a country. Up to 20 minutes to wait for changes to the locations. Then, it states to upgrade if one wants more choices. From an android, can't upgrade. It seems one needs a computer for the upgrade services. I don't have a computer. So, I will forego the upgrade. Very disappointing. Therefore, reason for 3 stars.

Recent Update messed up the way the app used to work. I used to be able to pick the server and country I wanted. Not anymore which is rather annoying. I want to connect to the US, but am only ever able to connect to tge Netherlands, minus a few small times, but even when I am able to connect to a different country, after a bit it'll go right back to the Netherlands.

Unlimited subscriber here. Five star rating reduced to three. Four clicks to find a listing of servers and server load, sorted by %load. Should have option to sort by server#. What the heck has happened to Proton? It's really hard to persuade people to sign up with the user experience in such a rapid state of flux. You owe your users a blog post on what is really going on.
