Don't depend on this app I love riding the ferry, I ride it everyday to work. Occasionally the app takes it's time loading. Ferry workers have left me at the dock refusing to let me board despite my previously purchased ticket and receipt because the app is spinning trying to load my ticket (even though I ride every day). More dependable app and better ferry worker training would be good.
Works well A little confusing on how to activate tickets. But once you get that it's pretty easy. Would like to see it possible to buys tickets in fewer steps. Also would like to see the purchase and schedule integrated more. As in im buying a ticket. The next boats from that location are at these times. Also If I have tickets show me times for those routes. good app though, effective. A new thing is I'm never sure if the schedules are up to date. They seem to skip scheduled trips petty regularly. App or service??
Tickets don't activate and terrible customer service I have had many problems with activating tickets and nothing happens no error message or anything. The conductors should let me on if your app is clearly malfunctioning. Instead I am sent to buy a paper ticket which means I am 20 minutes late because I have to wait for the next ferry.
After purchasing tickets using this app, I was unable to activate them. There was no error; they would simply return to the list of purchased tickets every time I hit "activate". Then when I tried to file feedback, the feedback mechanism kept telling me "feedback submission failed". This is not ready for prime time.
5-star ferry service, 3-star app = 4 Stars Love the ferry service--use it year-round and have found it consistently safe, reliable and a pleasure to ride. I concur with all the complaints about the app--too slow to load, too many steps to activate tix, too frequently unable to access tix, causing me to miss the boat. I've been using the app for 3+ years--it should be better by now. It won't stop me using the ferries, but I look forward to improvements in the app.
So much better than nothing If you are not happy with the e-ticket system or the bus locator, either don't use them or take the bus. Doing so makes a lot more sense than complaining about an app that, while not perfect, is still better than no app at all.
