App is garbage! Feels like an app from ten years back. Super slow, constant crashes, cannot view schedules between pier 11 and weehawken, never confident that the ticket will appear on my bought tickets list. The developers should be ashamed of such a shoddy job. I highly recommend anyone considering this app to stick to buying physical tickets.
App stopped allowing me to purchase tickets twice now. Credit card expiration date is wrong. Tried to set in app and through website. Second time it stopped working because the merchant code was changed without notice. 2 failures within a 3 month period.
App asks us to review the service, then conveniently quits when trying to submit feedback. The Hoboken North - Downtown service is TERRIBLE, even after years of the same issues. Management at Brookfield Place doesn't communicate, ferries are full and replacement ferries are never advertised. Amateur hour.
Works reliably for me as far as buying and using tickets and the bus tracker. Never had an issue with the app. The service can be a bit off schedule but NY Waterway doesn't even update that on the monitors in the terminal.
I used to really like this app but recently I started having a lot of issues. First, I can't buy a ticket from Hoboken to WFC - the options it gives are for theater tickets to Swan Lake. Second, it won't show schedules between Hoboken and pier 11. This thing needs some major fixes!
Schedule and bus locator works well. I can't buy tickets for the ferry, but I can buy tickets for Swan Lake. This is working fine last time I took the ferry, which is rare. An update to the app must have caused this.
