I have trust issues with anyone and everything cyber when it comes to my personal information. I get why the app demands my social, and bank account. And it's cool I can opt to enter my bank info at a later time. But what really drove me away from using the app was that I HAVE to enter my social. I like to explore things before I make a decision sometimes. Entering that in for me is like singing my life away. For all I know it is. This app is simply not for me, or those who are like me. It gets 3 stars from me because I simply didn't get to see and properly rate anything.
New review. All set up and running now for a little over a month. Going decent. Had some up and down days but thats to be expected. There are some minor software issues that need to be addressed, but after set up it's smooth & easy to deposit, withdraw, and check on your account. Not sure if I'd throw my entire life savings into it just yet, but the idea has crossed my mind. Keep at it acorns. 😎👍
I have not been able to use this app for at three months now because of some server error message I keep getting. I got in touch with the customer service and they told me to log onto my account through their website... "very insightful "... reasons for Apps is the convenience and get and have the information right at your fingertips. Can someone with the knowledge reach out and help fox this issue. Other than this issue, the concept of saving and investing money with them works.
For the past week the app has had a pop up message that says it cannot contact the server. I reinstalled and still can't log in. I have no clue what's going on with my money and no way to withdraw it. I tried to contact Acorns via the support email on the website, but SURPRISE, that's not working either. I can't submit my request because a phone number is required, but when I try to enter my phone number, the site won't allow me. I understand an app might have an outage, but a week without knowing what's going on is excessive.
I signed up for this back in January 2017 and I got an email saying my account was being set up. It's now March 2017 and I still dont have an account. Emailed twice with a auto response saying it would take 5 business days to hear back from anyone because of high number of emails and calls. Still no actual response from customer service. Update: Got my account set up. Took a little longer than expected, but excited to get to use this app.
The point of having an app is so that you can check it anytime you want to. The app has been down for OVER A WEEK now with the message "Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes...' Access on the web works but then you find out you are losing money. Will give it one more week and if it doesn't improve, I am pulling my money out. Sorry.
We fixed some bugs to make Acorns work better for you, because small change matters.
