These functions apply when enabled:
• Location: your location data is used to show the closest airport(s) for booking, and flight status. Location data is also used to present the correct boarding passes at connecting airports, and to provide the current location when using airport maps.
• Wi-Fi connection: used to determine if internet access or a connection is available for onboard Wi-Fi and the wireless entertainment system on Air Canada Rouge flights.
• Calendar: access to your calendar is used to sync flights from your upcoming bookings to your device's calendar.
• Notifications: push notifications are used to send you service messages related to your upcoming travel.
• Camera: add images to the feedback you send to Air Canada.

App didn't remember my passport or traveler number from my last flight. It also didn't know my aeroplan number despite that being tied to the account I had to make to even sign in to the app. I eventually figured out I had to add this information to my account profile, but it wasn't obvious this was needed. A prompt to add it if I enter the info to check in and it's missing from my profile would be a good addition.

Your ID / visa pre processing logic for check in is buggy and broken. For example, it asks for a Brazil visa, while providing the error checking and info for a Canadian visa incorrectly, and then blocks check in forcing me into line at the airport. The app also stores my old expired passport info and makes me re-enter the new passport number every time. These should be easy things to test and fix, I've provided feedback to support and at manual check-in but someone needs to care!

This is useful if you would rather check in at the desk because this app eternally does not work. If the developer is reading. I'm on an Air Canada flight that also uses a United flight for the second leg. I'm prompted to login to my United account and upon the login when prompted with a 2 layer security text I enter the text but the page never finishes loading. Other websites work fine air Canada page is the issue. I also tried logging in using the confirmation # but this also doesn't work
