Well designed, works well! Adding a flight is easy and displaying the boarding pass barcode works perfectly (which a lot of other airline apps do poorly). Nice background images too!
Blew me away. I expected a hack app that glitched and had little to no usability options, totally prepared to use whatever would work and then uninstall so I could have room for something useful like Candy crush. Easy to add reservations, and when I had to figure out a second last minute ticket with customer service it was just as easy to add the second ticket to the same app even though my boy had his own separate ticket and reservation. Had some hairy cancellation notifications it alerted me to right quick, another call to customer service had it figured out after a bit. To show the new changes on the app I simply had to swipe down on the flight overview and it would update (updates automatically but for some reason it still showed the old info with a big huge blaring red CANCELLED thing I've it that was making me wanna puke) and then all was well in the world. Had to add bags too, I flew in without because I had no need, and with the sudden change happened I was like ok deep breaths, prepare for ticket counter sticker shock. In my head I was calculating a second mortgage it's like airlines today are just jerks. The app let me check in from my hotel bed dragon breath and all, and there was an option to buy the bags I selected in the app now or later. I'm still pretty wary of ticket counters (quick f u shout out to Spirit and how they handle the elderly) so I used my card and hit the pay now button, got the receipt in my email before I was even done hitting the buttons for check in. Flying in I used the boarding pass button on a connection flight, didn't have time to get down to ticketing and get all the hardcopy stuff. Made me CRAZY nervous since I had ZERO trust in the app. I pulled up the reservation, selected the particular flight, hit the green boarding pass, and then handed the phone to the boarding lady with the scanner. It scanned no problem and then I was on my way feeling all tech savvy for all of two seconds. Returning flight I'm excited, scared, worried, and thrilled to bring my boy home, and I'm feeling good about this app. Now I just need to remember to keep my charger handy and it'll be smooth sailing from here 😊 very happy with Alaska, they've been there for my fam bam in a very real way.
Very useful, especially the check in reminder for those looking to get exit row seats. Since you have to wait 24 hrs before before take off to check in.
App was super easy to check in, with one simple button at the bottom of your reservation to click. This airline gets it, KISS - Keep It Simple Silly🤗
Best travel app I use -- the only thing missing is an easy way to share electronic boarding passes to others booked on the same itinerary... other than THAT, it's five stars!
Top notch just like everything Alaska Airlines has. Simple and straightforward app that allows you to book, manage, change, and track your flight information. Also allows for easy viewing of rewards points activity.
