Ratings and reviews

I don't find it useful. initially, I was able to set up my favorite song lists from my phone or external drive and create lists with times to play at different times of my day. With the new software upgrades that all went away. Now, you need subscriptions for your music. if the best it can do is tell me my shopping lists and turn lights on or off, that's quite an expensive task. Besides, they seem to die after 3 years.

Too complicated and doesn't work reliably. When I first started using the Alexa device, it was easy to figure out how to create or modify a routine. That's not true anymore. Options are buried in sub-menus, if they exist at all. The device volume changes dramatically in the middle of a song or announcement. Alexa is suddenly unable to perform a routine for several days but then it's able to do the routine again for a few days then once again unable to do it several days later.

If there was an aftermarket alternative to the Alexa app that works with Alexa, I'd be down for it. Just like everything else in technology, someone always tries to fix what isn't broken until it IS broken. Smh. The app sucks more and more with every "fix." Navigating the app is atrocious! The locations of settings seem arbitrary half the time and completely nonsensical.
