INTEREST FOR YOU

With a Kroo current account, you’ll earn interest at 0.9% below the Bank of England base rate on your current account balance up to £500,000. And it’s paid into your account monthly.

AER means annual equivalent rate. It shows you the yearly rate if we paid interest on top of interest. Gross interest is the contractual rate of interest.


KROO PERSONAL LOANS
Kroo loans are now available through the app. Applications for a loan are by invitation only for Kroo current account holders.

The loan repayment periods are from 12 to 60 months, with a Maximum Annual Percentage Rate (APR) of 23.6%

A representative example is £5,000.00 over 5 years, with APR (fixed) of 8.2%. This would have 60 monthly repayments of £101.16. The total repayment would be £6,069.60, and the cost of credit would be £1,069.60

Ratings and reviews

Endless issues with the app! Impossible to login without uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Every single time. Face recognition and everything. Countless emails regarding this are met with 'we are investigating', only followed by emails a few days later saying 'we haven't heard from you so we're closing this ticket'! Not recommended if you need to watch your account.

I'd been very happy with this bank/app up until trying to send most of my balance to another account to receive better interest. The transaction has been "under review" for about 10 hours, no contact, no questions. I'm obviously not happy with this and will consider moving the rest of the balance elsewhere also. Edit: It seems the office is only open during daytime and once it reopened my money came through. If you want to transfer money do it during open office hours!

When I receive my paycheck, my money keeps getting held for review. This is really inconvenient as it interrupts my scheduled payments and then I have to set these up again and do it manually. I don't understand it's getting held, especially as I consistently get paid on the same day of the month. Very unreliable bank at the moment
