Worked for me It got me running regularly. Never having run before, and after following the programme, I was running 5k three times a week earlier this year. I've just come back to the app after a break. I only use it for the training programme and timing. Not for syncing with music or other apps. For it's basic use, it works well and is easy to use. The training programme is practical and it can be used flexibly. I had to repeat some weeks, in order to progress. Still worked. I'd recommend.
Great for training for my 5k Before I started the app, my exercise had been walking an hour and a half with my friend once a week. I found the sessions tiring but doable. I love how it says how many cycles of walking and running you have to do as well as multiple timers. Also, I missed two workouts and I liked how I was able to skip ahead to stay on track. Also, I like how it vibrates when it's time to switch, so you don't have to keep looking on your phone. Good for on your own or with a partner.
Fantastic Absolutely fantastic. As a unathletic computer nerd about to head off to Basic Training in a few months this routine has been a godsend. The UI is very inviting, and the built-in music player works very well. The program starts off slow and becomes increasingly more rigorous as you progress. Running is hard, but this makes it just a little bit easier
It has been helping to improve my fitness so much. I've tried to start running so many times, but it turns out I was pushing myself way too hard for a total beginner. This program eased me in, but challenged me, and I can feel myself gaining capability after every run
Great for couch potatoes Great to gently ease yourself back into running but I'd like GPS to tell how far I've gone and to see if throughout each week I'm getting gradually quicker. Would also like the playlist to stop once the workouts finished.... it keeps playing and I have to go back into the app manually to stop it. Minor faults, otherwise great.
Constantly crashes This app crashes half the times I use it, and it doesn't even save the status after each segment. Instead, it says that the run hasn't started at all. This is bad enough when it happens mid-workout, but sometimes it happens in the cooldown and I don't notice. But two days later I start a new run, the realize that the training schedule doesn't match up, because it deleted the last workout after I had actually finished it. That is no kind of behavior for a popular app.
