About this app

With Unitus Card Guard, you can easily and securely access your Unitus Visa card accounts anytime, anywhere all from your phone! This application is free to download and makes it easy for you to manage your cards on the go!

Once you've created a new username and secure passcode for logging on, you'll have access to features including:

• Visa Travel Notifications: Adding your travel itinerary into the Unitus Card Guard app allows Visa to make more informed authorization decisions when it comes to approving transactions and reducing fraud while traveling.

• Card On/Off Setting: Turn your card on or off. By turning your card "off", no purchases or withdrawals will be allowed until you turn the card back "on".

• Transaction Alerts: Get notified of card activity so you’re always in the know. You’ll receive a real-time notification whenever you make a purchase or your card was declined, so you’ll know exactly when the card activity took place. Receive notifications via text, email, or push notification.

• Set Spending Limits: Now you can control how much is spent on your card. Track spending and help prevent fraud by allowing transactions up to a certain amount. You can update the authorization amount at any time.

• Security: Setup and manage account alerts to help you monitor your account activity. Mobile data transmissions and account information are protected by 256 bit SSL encryption, just like they are when you bank online, to prevent unauthorized access. Now you can have the peace of mind to spend with confidence all from the palm of your hands!

Use this app in conjunction with the Unitus Community Credit Union Mobile app to get the most benefit out of your Unitus Visa card.

UPDATE: Problem fixed! Push notifications are now working. PREVIOUS: I'm not getting push notifications on the app. Fortunately, I also enabled the text notifications, so I know it's generally working. It was very nice to input our travel which prevented unnecessary declines. 5/15/2023 follow-up: The push notifications still are not occurring.

This is a great app. I can lock my card before my account hits negative, hehehehh. Or in case I misplaced it. It locks instantly and if you forget that you locked it, try to use it, and check your app to reactivate it, that is instant as well! You can make sure that ATM withdrawals are blocked (in case you have a teenager), you can set limits even, in case you want to let your kid use your card. You can block online transactions, etc. This app is awesome 👌 10/10

I am fed up! This app keeps declining my card, and the verification notice comes in after I've used another card to complete my purchase and moved on. I tried a fix by setting high limits, and today it declined a fast-food purchase!!! I'm done and have decided to uninstall it.
