Love the store, hate the app. This app is extremely buggy. The whole time I'm navigating the app, it is constantly loading, circling round and round, and telling me there is no internet service even when I'm on strong WiFi. Takes forever to load when I'm trying to research an item. It also kicks me out on a regular basis. I may as well go to the standard desktop site. There's just no point in keeping it on my phone, so I'm going to free up space and uninstall it.

It's hard to say anything bad about Costco, but I'm not loving the January 2024 update to the app. Unresponsive, like tap 6 times unresponsive. The forced notification startup was awful. It always wants me to sign in but then doesn't remember that I have. Receipts randomly available (mostly unavailable). It just seems harder to navigate. The navigation problems may be me since that was a redesign but the unresponsive behavior makes it hard to learn.

The app is subpar and in dire need of an overhaul. It's only possible to see if products are available in-warehouse for small handful of items and the store price isn't shown. It doesn't tell you which aisle products are located at. There's no dark mode. In-warehouse purchase history only shows the receipts instead of a product list for easy viewing and reordering. Performance is lackluster, with most screens taking a long time to load. There's no chat option for customer service.
