App will restart the episode after the first commercial break when streaming on Chromecast. It's nearly impossible to pick up where you left off without watching 12 ads first. Even then, it's not guaranteed to be in the same place. As soon as you try to jump to another part of the show (even if you go backwards!), boom... 6 more ads. Hope you found the right place this time. It's almost better to just start over from the beginning and just hope it doesn't restart the episode again when you're halfway through.
I'm not sure what the free content rating question was for, since I pay quite a lot to my cable company to have access to any content I'm interested in. While I prefer my commercial free viewing sources, I understand the need for ads on this platform. I don't understand why I need to watch all the ads over if I stop watching something and want to resume playback a minute (after responding to a text) or a day (after living life). Due to the lack of those basic functions I'm not surprised and yet still extremely disappointed that more "advanced" functions like skip/rewind in second intervals, view device notifications without disturbing playback, and auto playing the next episode in a series are not even poorly functioning but are unavailable entirely. The lack of auto play is as much your loss as mine as I've been introduced to many shows I wouldn't have selected otherwise when a series run ends, and an app recommendation defaulted to another show I discovered I enjoyed--via other streaming applications. This app, while functional, is short sighted. It is not a long term strategy for success, and frankly naive, for networks to trust that people will continue to pay over $100 a month to have access to advertising interrupted content with limited control over simple things like pausing and resuming where you leave off. I'm sure you are aware that unless you choose, in perpetuity, to not license viewing rights to that content, people in growing numbers will be happy to wait a year or more to "binge" watch it when you do make it available. If you believe in the quality of your content so much that you are willing to believe consumers will pay this much for it And accept the half completed platform you offer to view it...it stands to reason you should believe we will enjoy it when it comes to Netflix, Prime, Hulu etc. Whenever that should be. Oh, and spoiler alert...we the consumer do have the ability to avoid spoilers and moreover, enjoy the content we are binge watching at the moment. So yeah, I can wait--or just never view your shows. You have some wonderful content, that I truly look forward to viewing. I just hope that doesn't disappear entirely in the future, which it will, should you fail to recognize and respond swiftly to the evolving way we access the product your team of hard working and passionate people no doubt work tirelessly to create.
Great when it works, but it is buggy. after the long commercial breaks it periodically replays the same video section. If you manually go forward then you have to watch all 6 commercials again. Worst TV channel streaming app I've used so far ahead cutting the cord.
Unable to watch live stream of Oscars for free. What a disappointment. I don't have cable... That's why I'm trying to view the Oscars on your app. Don't ask me for a cable providers information. Anyone who downloads this app is looking for the free streaming that you advertise. What a waste of time. Uninstalling
This app just sucks. Can't sign into live tv keep getting error message. I thought the broadcast were free why sign in with your cable provider? There are also too damn many commercials. This app is total worthless and a joke. Don't install it!
I like being able to watch my shows while I'm away from home. Sometimes the dialog isn't in sink with the video. Annoying! I don't appreciate the app crashing. I also don't appreciate having to watch the commercials over again when I go back in to pick up where I left off. However, when the app is working the picture and auto are clear and in sinck.
