A Note on Battery
We’ve spent *years* developing the location technology that powers Foursquare Swarm, making it extremely power efficient. But, as with all apps of this type, continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life

Ratings and reviews

If you try to "find a different place" to check in rather than the auto detected location, and you type in a location name rather than select one from the firsf list that comes up, the confirm/remove buttons disappear, so it's now impossible to correct the location that Swarm thinks I was at. This used to work fine until very recently.

Been using swarm since it was Foursquare (where I actually won a prize as part of the fun contests & challenges they did) & after working through the transition to swarm I adjusted to using swarm it was fun collecting points & even more so the stickers (& challenges to get them) it was colorful & easy to use & interact with. This new update is awful 😞 I got so frustrated trying to figure it out & it seems like a first time app & is no longer fun or inviting to use bring back the original 💔

The big update of Swarm is buggy and stole so much of the charm the previous version had... no more fun crowning animation when you become a mayor, no more sticker peeling, no more falling coins. All the color and vibrancy is gone. There are a few nice usability upgrades, but they weren't worth what we lost.

What’s new

• Swarm now automatically groups your out-of-town stops into shareable memories. Just check in while traveling and your trip will appear on your Profile when you return.
